Peer Mentor Circles
Who Are we?
Peer Mentor Circles is an online community for young early-mid level career professionals, students, job-seekers, creatives and entrepreneurs. Using our growing network of members, we provide support, guidance, advice and coaching on all personal development and career-related issues. Leveraging our shared knowledge and experiences, we tackle challenges faced by young people head on and work to find solutions.
Whilst our predominant audience is millennials, Peer Mentor Circles is open to everyone.
What is Peer Mentoring?
Peer mentoring is a form of mentorship that usually takes place between a person who has lived through certain experiences (peer mentor) and a person who is new to those experiences (the peer mentee). The purpose of peer mentoring is to provide support, encouragement and information. It also serves as a great way to learn, solve problems, and transfer skills.
Why Have Peer Mentors?
Throughout our lives and careers, we will face different hurdles. Some we will overcome alone, for others, we may need some help. Feedback and coaching is great way to learn, and who better to learn from than people like you, who have faced or are facing similar challenges? There are many places to go for a senior mentor, who will guide, advise and support you. What we hope to create, is a safe space to share, learn and develop amongst peers.
How Does It Work?
Conversations: Sharing personal insights, challenges and experiences, and learning from others.
We’re here to help. The aim of Peer Mentor Circles (PMC) is to build supportive relationships between young people at different stages in life by sharing knowledge and experience, and providing opportunities to learn from one another. We believe in learning by sharing. PMC will be run with you, for you and by you.
Alone we cannot find all the answers, but, by sharing what we know, we help each other grow.
