Group Session Overview

Members Area Help

Large Groups Discussions

The sessions will consist of groups of between 15-30 people who meet once every 4-6 weeks to discuss topics requested by members (dates for these sessions will be published in the Events calendar and meeting invitations will be sent out via email).

The main group sessions will be split into three parts.

Part 1

We will always start with a general introduction and ice-breaker, followed by an introduction to the discussion topic. Participants will usually be asked to stay on mute at this time.

5-10 minutes

Part 2

This will be the main part of the group discussion. We will start with questions or scenarios submitted anonymously by members and share our views and experiences as a group. We may also review some strategies for dealing with the particular challenges raised.

20 minutes

Part 3

There will be short Q&A segments before we run through suggested topics for the next session, confirm Peer Mentor Circle assignments for the next 4-6 weeks and wrap up.

15 minutes

Small Group Discussions

After some sessions, members will be split into smaller Peer Mentor Circles with two or three other members.

You will be expected to speak twice in between main group meetings for 15-20 minutes.

These conversations can take any form e.g. calls, emails, whatsapp etc. You will use these sessions and the key takeaways from the larger group calls to form mini support groups - find out what other members of your smaller group are struggling with, share insights and advice, as well as progress updates. You may wish to schedule conference calls using the online meeting system (details on how to sign up to use the online conference call service can be found on the online meeting joining instructions page ).

Be ready to share highlights and lessons from these smaller group conversations with the wider group.
